Why sugarcane bagasse lids are the future

Presenting you our most sustainable lid yet, made purely of sugarcane!

Constructed entirely from sugarcane pulp, our new rapidly renewable Sugarcane Bagasse Lid is changing the (lid) game. Once used, it can be home composted and then returned to

the ground as decomposed organic matter. Easy as! Side note: some local councils will even accept it in recycling bins, making it a really accessible sustainable

coffee lid option for cafes and roasters. In terms of a drinking experience, it’s just like drinking coffee from a paper lid, and it stays in perfect shape while you finish your beverage. It’s a win-win.

It’s available in 80mm or 90mm sizes, in three shapes: classic, dome and flat.

Why sugarcane deserves a lot of love as a packaging material

Sugarcane is a pretty amazing material to use in packaging. As a rapidly renewable and widely available resource, about 1.8 billion tonnes of sugarcane is

harvested worldwide yearly. After harvest, roughly two-thirds is leftover as waste that most often isn’t used for anything else, so repurposing it for packaging not only maximises the value of the

crop but helps to further the circular economy. Packaging made purely with sugarcane is generally compostable, meaning it’s one of the most sustainable materials readily available for use.
